Snake Breeding

Today, I decided that it was time to take the plunge and put my male and one of the female Corn Snakes together. I have kept Corn Snakes for many years but never got around to breeding

To be honest, I was not sure what to expect but it was a lot more rapid than I expected. I half expected him to either chase her for half a day or just ignore her. But he went straight in for the kill.

Both will be in the vivarium until Friday, when he will get a rest for a week before I put the other female in with him. Hoping for a medium clutch though I am not too worried either way
